OK Today — Terms of Use & Privacy Policy

1.1 Purpose

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the OK Today mobile application (the “App”) published by Stolannapp SAS (the “Publisher”).

The App allows users to voluntarily check in (“I’m OK today”). If no check-in occurs within a defined period, the App may send an automated email alert to a designated contact.

1.2 No Emergency or Medical Service

The user expressly acknowledges that:

• OK Today is not an emergency service and does not dispatch emergency responders.
• OK Today is not a medical device and provides no diagnosis, treatment, or medical advice.
• In case of emergency, immediate danger, or medical concerns, users must contact local emergency services and/or a qualified professional.

1.3 Alerts and Delivery Disclaimer

The user understands that alerts are automated and depend on external factors (networks, providers, spam filters, outages, device settings, and technical limitations).

No guarantee is provided regarding timely or successful delivery of any email alert.

A missing check-in does not necessarily indicate danger. The App is a simple reminder and notification tool only.

1.4 User Responsibilities

The user is solely responsible for:

• Providing an accurate contact email address.
• Informing the designated contact that they may receive automated emails from OK Today.
• Ensuring the designated contact’s email provider will accept messages (e.g., checking spam filters).
• Not relying on the App as the only safety, monitoring, or emergency solution.

1.5 Subscription

Access to the App’s features is provided via a paid subscription (and, if offered, a free trial), managed by Apple App Store and/or Google Play. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled in the user’s store account settings.

Pricing, renewal terms, and available plans are displayed in the App and/or on the store purchase screen before subscribing.

1.6 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Publisher shall not be liable for any damages arising from or related to:

• Missed or late check-ins by the user.
• Email alerts not delivered, delivered late, filtered as spam, or otherwise not received.
• Temporary service outages, maintenance, or technical failures.
• Misinterpretation of alerts or decisions made based on alerts.
• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or unforeseeable damages.

Use of the App is at the user’s own risk.

1.7 Changes and Availability

The Publisher may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (in whole or in part) at any time, including for maintenance or technical reasons.

1.9 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection laws in the user’s country of residence.

2.1 Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how OK Today collects and uses personal data. We aim to collect only what is necessary to operate the App’s core functionality.

2.2 Data We Collect

OK Today only collects:

• Designated contact email address (to send automated alerts).
• Last check-in timestamp (date and time of the most recent check-in).

We do not require an account and we do not collect advertising identifiers for targeted ads.

2.3 How We Use Data

We use the data solely to:

• Record your check-in status.
• Trigger automated email alerts when a check-in is missing.
• Provide basic in-app status information (e.g., time since last check-in).

2.4 Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data and do not share it with third parties for advertising purposes.

We may use service providers strictly necessary to operate the App (e.g., cloud hosting / databases / email delivery). Those providers process data only to provide the service to us.

2.5 Data Storage and Security

Data may be stored using secure cloud services required for App functionality (for example, Firebase). We implement reasonable safeguards to protect data, but no system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

2.6 Data Retention

We retain data only for as long as needed to provide the service, or as required by law. You can request deletion at any time (see Section 2.7).

To protect users, we may ask for minimal information needed to verify the request (for example, the contact email stored in the App).

2.8 Children

OK Today is not intended for children under the minimum age required by applicable law to consent to data processing.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect changes.
